Description

Silverdale Mechanical is a family owned and operated Business located in the Silverdale area. We are seeking a second or third year apprentice.

We offer a well equipped workshop and a friendly fun environment. There is regular overtime available if desired.

We are looking for someone who is:

• Confident in the servicing, maintaining and repair of trucks/cars and machinery or someone with mechanical knowledge who is willing to learn and expand
• A motivated team player that supports the wider team
• Able to expand and maintain customer relationships
• Knowledgeable in Hydraulics and electrical systems would also be advantageous.

The successful applicant will:

• Have the ability to work under pressure while having an eye for detail.
• Have excellent communication skills; including both verbal and written.
• Be able to work autonimously and mentor and support less experienced staff.
• HAVE FULL WORK RIGHTS IN NZ and a current NZ drivers Licence (HT will eventually be required but we are willing to assist in obtaining it)
• Show a willingness to contribute to Health and Safety
• Have a stable work history

The employee will enjoy the fact that every day is different and will be working both in our workshop and out on site with a wide variety of vehicles and machinery. This position would be ideal for someone who is looking to further their career and experience.
