Position: Automation Tester / Performance Tester - Junior

Number of hours: 40 hours / week
Schedule: EST

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop, execute, and maintain automated test scripts under the guidance of senior QA engineers.

  • Assist in maintaining automation frameworks using tools such as Selenium, Playwright, or Cypress.

  • Support performance testing activities by creating and executing basic performance test scripts using JMeter or LoadRunner.

  • Perform functional, regression, smoke, and integration testing for web, mobile, and enterprise applications.

  • Analyze test execution results and report defects using defect management tools.

  • Validate bug fixes through automated and manual regression testing.

  • Assist in preparing test plans, test cases, automation scripts, and performance test documentation.

  • Collaborate with developers, manual testers, business analysts, and project teams to ensure software quality.

  • Participate in Agile ceremonies, including sprint planning, daily stand-ups, sprint reviews, and retrospectives.

  • Support CI/CD pipeline testing and contribute to continuous testing initiatives.

  • Follow QA standards, automation best practices, and secure software testing principles.

  • Escalate technical issues and testing challenges to senior QA engineers when necessary.

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Software Engineering, Information Systems, or a related field.

  • 0–2 years of experience in software testing, automation testing, or application development.

  • Basic understanding of Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) and Software Testing Life Cycle (STLC).

  • Familiarity with test automation concepts and frameworks.

  • Basic knowledge of Selenium, Playwright, Cypress, or similar automation tools.

  • Basic understanding of performance testing concepts using JMeter, LoadRunner, or similar tools.

  • Familiarity with programming or scripting languages such as Java, JavaScript, Python, or C#.

  • Basic knowledge of Git and version control systems.

  • Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills.

  • Ability to work effectively under close guidance and daily supervision.

Preferred Certifications

  • ISTQB Certified Tester – Foundation Level

  • AWS Certified Cloud Practitioner

  • Microsoft Azure Fundamentals (AZ-900)

  • Scrum Foundations

  • ITIL Foundation (Preferred)
