Position: Social Media Manager
Number of hours: 40 hours/week

Tasks required:

  • Develop and execute a comprehensive social media strategy.

  • Create and publish engaging content across various social media platforms (Instagram, Facebook, LinkedIn, etc.).

  • Build and grow a local community of followers (primarily within New Zealand).

  • Manage daily posting schedules and interact with followers to foster engagement.

  • Conduct regular analysis of performance metrics to optimize content and strategies.

  • Design eye-catching visuals, graphics, and video content for social media (including Reels, Stories, Posts, etc.).

  • Use creative design software and AI tools to produce high-quality images and videos.

  • Ensure all content aligns with the brand’s visual identity.

  • Assist with general admin tasks as needed (email management, scheduling, etc.).

  • Publish blogs, articles, and other content on the WordPress website.

  • Edit and format content using Elementor to maintain website consistency and quality.

  • Actively brainstorm and contribute fresh, creative ideas for campaigns and content.

  • Stay up-to-date with social media trends and new technologies to ensure the brand is always innovative.

  • Respond promptly to any evolving challenges or opportunities in the social media landscape.


Requirements:

  • Strong background in managing social media accounts, especially in building a local following.

  • Experience with graphic design tools (e.g., Canva, Adobe Suite, etc.) and creating Reels/short-form videos.

  • Familiarity with AI tools for content creation, design, and social media optimization.

  • Proficient in WordPress and Elementor for publishing content and managing websites.

  • Knowledge of SEO basics for content optimization is a plus.

  • Highly creative with the ability to generate innovative social media content.

  • Self-driven, proactive, and able to work independently with minimal guidance.

  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.

  • Ability to interact with followers and respond professionally to comments or messages.

  • Candidates will be asked to submit a mock design as part of the interview process. This will help demonstrate your creativity and design capabilities.

  • Previous experience managing social media for businesses in New Zealand or similar markets.

  • Ability to handle multiple tasks and deadlines simultaneously. Understanding of online marketing and brand development.
