Job Overview:

We are seeking an experienced Bookkeeper to support the financial operations of two companies. One of the businesses is already set up in QuickBooks, while the other requires a setup from scratch. Both businesses require diligent and accurate bookkeeping in compliance with US laws. This is an excellent opportunity for a detail-oriented professional to manage and improve our financial processes.

Tasks required:

  • Manage and maintain financial records for two companies, ensuring accuracy and compliance with US laws.

  • Set up bookkeeping for one business in QuickBooks.

  • Review and update bookkeeping for a business that is approximately two years behind.

  • Conduct a thorough review of the bookkeeping for the second business to ensure all records are accurate and up to date.

  • Prepare financial reports, including balance sheets, profit and loss statements, and cash flow statements.

  • Reconcile bank statements and accounts.

  • Manage accounts payable and receivable.

  • Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local financial legal requirements.

  • Provide detailed analysis and recommendations for improving financial processes.

  • Initial assessment of the current bookkeeping status for both businesses.

  • Develop a detailed plan to bring the bookkeeping of the first business up to date.

  • Conduct a thorough review and update the bookkeeping of the second business.

  • Provide an estimated timeline for completing the initial catch-up and review, recognizing that the timeline may vary based on the complexity and volume of the work.


Requirements:

  • Proven experience as a Bookkeeper or in a similar role.

  • In-depth knowledge of US bookkeeping laws and regulations.

  • Proficiency in QuickBooks and other accounting software.

  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy.

  • Excellent organizational and time management skills.

  • Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities.

  • Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.

  • Certification in bookkeeping or accounting is a plus.
