Job Overview:
The Chief of Staff serves as a strategic partner and trusted advisor to the executive team, playing a pivotal role in driving organizational success. This role combines strategic planning, project management, and operational execution to ensure alignment with the company's vision and goals. The Chief of Staff is instrumental in fostering cross-departmental collaboration, enabling the executive team to focus on high-impact initiatives, and leveraging accounting expertise and CRM systems to optimize operations.
Responsibilities:
- Partner with the CEO/COO to define and implement company strategies, goals, and priorities.
- Provide insights and data-driven recommendations to support executive decision-making.
- Act as a thought partner, contributing to strategic discussions and long-term planning.
- Oversee and manage complex, cross-functional projects, ensuring timely and successful delivery.
- Monitor and report on the progress of key initiatives, addressing roadblocks proactively.
- Drive the execution of high-level projects such as mergers, acquisitions, fundraising efforts, or product launches.
- Align daily operations with strategic objectives by coordinating with department heads.
- Optimize workflows, ensuring resources are allocated effectively to meet organizational goals.
- Develop and implement policies, procedures, and systems that improve efficiency and productivity.
- Serve as a liaison between the executive team and department heads to ensure alignment and collaboration.
- Prepare executive briefings, presentations, and reports for internal and external stakeholders.
- Represent the CEO/COO in meetings and communications as needed.
- Mentor emerging leaders within the organization, fostering professional growth and development.
- Collaborate with HR to design leadership development programs and succession planning strategies.
- Collaborate with the finance team to monitor budgets, financial performance, and resource allocation.
- Provide accounting insights to support strategic decisions and operational planning.
- Ensure compliance with financial policies and regulations across all initiatives.
- Leverage the Close.com CRM tool to optimize workflows, track progress on leads, and analyze customer data.
- Align daily operations with strategic objectives by coordinating with department heads.
- Develop and implement policies, procedures, and systems that improve efficiency and productivity.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in business administration, Management, or a related field (MBA preferred).
- 5+ years of experience in a similar role or in strategic consulting, operations, or leadership.
- Strong strategic thinking and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent project management abilities with a proven track record of managing complex initiatives.
- Outstanding interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to influence and collaborate across all levels of the organization.
- Highly organized, detail-oriented, and capable of managing multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
- Ability to analyze data and translate insights into actionable strategies.
- Proficiency in project management tools (e.g., Asana, Trello, or similar).
- Advanced skills in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) or Google Workspace.
- Proficiency with CRM systems (close.com) and data visualization tools is a plus.
