Position: Video Editor

Tasks required:

  • Edit raw footage into high-quality videos, ensuring smooth transitions, engaging visuals, and appropriate pacing.

  • Incorporate motion graphics, sound effects, and visual effects as needed to enhance storytelling and engagement.

  • Ensure videos align with brand standards and meet technical specifications for various platforms (social media, website, etc.).

  • Collaborate closely with the creative team to brainstorm and contribute innovative ideas for video projects.

  • Offer suggestions on visual styles, storytelling techniques, and editing approaches to elevate the final product.

  • Engage in creative discussions to refine video concepts, respecting and incorporating diverse cultural perspectives.

  • Review edits meticulously to ensure videos are polished, error-free, and deliver a professional finish.

  • Handle client feedback professionally, incorporating necessary changes with minimal turnaround time.

  • Clearly articulate ideas, timelines, and technical processes to team members, clients, and stakeholders.

  • Demonstrate integrity in all aspects of work, respecting copyright, licensing, and fair-use principles.

  • Show a deep appreciation for cultural nuances, making thoughtful editing choices that honor diverse perspectives.

  • Continuously discover and implement new editing technologies and industry’s best practices to maximize efficiency

  • Other ad hoc tasks that would be assigned


Requirements:

  • Must have 1 year of experience as a Video Editor

  • Proficiency in video editing software such as Adobe Premiere Pro, Final Cut Pro, DaVinci Resolve, After Effects, and other industry-standard tools.

  • Knowledge of color grading, sound editing, and motion graphics to enhance video quality and storytelling.

  • Familiarity with different video formats, codecs, and best practices for exporting high-quality videos optimized for web, mobile, and social media platforms.

  • Strong eye for detail, aesthetics, and composition to ensure videos align with brand guidelines and appeal to the target audience.

  • Familiarity with collaboration tools like Zoom, Slack, Google Workspace, or similar for efficient remote communication and project tracking.

  • Demonstrable video editing ability with a strong portfolio

  • Exhibit strong work ethic and initiative

  • Excellent communication skills, with the ability to articulate ideas and feedback clearly in a virtual setting.

  • Self-disciplined and organized; able to consistently hit daily and monthly targets with limited supervision
