Position: Admissions Officer
Number of hours: 40 hours/week
Schedule: EST
Tasks required:
Recruit students by developing alumni networks and initiating campaigns to induce students to attend the institution
Provide students with information about admission process and answer any questions they have
Review prospective student applications and interviews prospective students
Follow up with students to verify any application issues, including discrepancies or missing information
Contact applicant references to verify information included on resumes, letters of recommendation, and applications
Work collaboratively with admissions counselors to review applicants, make final admissions decisions, and send out admissions offers
Examine the current admission process and recommend changes when necessary
Process student registration paperwork and payment
Update and maintain a database of students’ information
Maintain recruiting operations by following policies and procedures and reporting needed changes
Improve quality of results by studying, evaluating, and re-designing processes and implementing changes
Creates a resource-rich environment for students and teachers as it pertains to college readiness and educational and career planning
Other ad hoc tasks that would be assigned
Requirements:
Proven work experience as an Admissions Officer is required
Working knowledge of Prosper CRM is highly desired
Experience in working for universities is a huge advantage
Ability to create and maintain detailed records and ensure accuracy of database
Good leadership skills
Ability to call, connect, and interact with potential students
Professional email and phone communication is required
Exhibit strong work ethic and initiative
Clear and concise communicator with excellent English proficiency and effective verbal communication skills
Self-disciplined and organized; able to consistently hit daily and monthly targets with limited supervision
