Position: Data Entry Specialist

Number of hours: 10 hours/week
Schedule: New Zealand Time (NZT)

Tasks required:


Product & SKU Data Entry

  • Enter new products and manufacturer SKUs accurately into the Scannable platform.

  • Validate products using manufacturer part numbers (SKUs) before upload.

  • Perform bulk uploads for complete brand SKU ranges when required.

  • Follow standardized formatting, naming conventions, and categorization guidelines.

  • Ensure accuracy and consistency across all entries.

Customer Product Request Processing

  • Review and prioritize customer-submitted product requests.

  • Process requests within agreed turnaround times (SLA).

  • Escalate incomplete or unclear data to the appropriate team.

  • Maintain clear status tracking of requests.

Product Data Verification & Enrichment

  • Verify product details using manufacturer websites and official sources.

  • Ensure listings include complete specifications, descriptions, and attributes.

  • Maintain consistency and completeness across database records.

Data Quality Control

  • Perform routine quality checks for accuracy and consistency.

  • Identify and correct errors, duplicates, and inconsistencies.

  • Maintain data accuracy standards aligned with KPIs (target: 98–100%).

Collaboration & Support

  • Coordinate with Product and Engineering teams when automation tools are introduced.

  • Validate automated uploads for accuracy.

  • Follow SOPs and suggest process improvements.

  • Provide weekly productivity updates.

Tools & Systems

  • Scannable Platform Database

  • Google Workspace (Sheets, Docs, Drive, Gmail)

  • Project management tools (ClickUp, Asana, Jira, or similar)

  • Communication tools (Slack, Teams, etc.)

  • Manufacturer websites & product catalogs

  • Internal SOPs and automation tools

Deliverables & Performance Metrics

  • Accurate and timely entry of assigned SKUs and product listings

  • Customer product requests processed within SLA

  • Completion of bulk brand uploads as assigned

  • Weekly productivity report including:

    • Number of SKUs uploaded

    • Requests completed

    • Error rate (if tracked)

  • Maintain 98–100% data accuracy

  • Updated and consistent database records



Requirements

  • Strong attention to detail and high accuracy level

  • Ability to handle repetitive, high-volume tasks efficiently

  • Experience in ecommerce product data entry (preferred)

  • Must have a MacBook (required for system compatibility)

  • Proficiency in Google Sheets or Excel

  • Strong research and verification skills

  • Excellent organization and time management

  • Clear written communication skills
