Position: Application / Solution Architect - Junior

Number of hours: 40 hours / week

Key Responsibilities

  • Assist in designing and developing application and solution architectures under the guidance of senior architects.

  • Support custom software development, application integration, and cloud migration initiatives.

  • Contribute to documenting Architecture Decision Records (ADRs), solution designs, technical specifications, and implementation guides.

  • Assist in identifying and documenting functional and non-functional requirements, including performance, security, scalability, and availability.

  • Participate in technology evaluation and selection for assigned projects.

  • Perform unit testing, bug fixing, code reviews, and simple feature development.

  • Support software deployment, release activities, and production issue resolution.

  • Maintain technical documentation, architecture diagrams, and knowledge base articles.

  • Collaborate with developers, QA engineers, business analysts, and project teams throughout the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC).

  • Follow enterprise architecture standards, development best practices, and security guidelines.

  • Escalate technical issues and architectural decisions to senior architects when necessary.

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Software Engineering, Information Systems, or a related field.

  • 0–2 years of experience in software development, application support, systems analysis, or related technical roles.

  • Basic understanding of software architecture principles and application design concepts.

  • Familiarity with the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) and Agile methodologies.

  • Basic knowledge of object-oriented programming and software design patterns.

  • Understanding of REST APIs, web services, databases, and application integration concepts.

  • Basic knowledge of cloud platforms such as AWS or Microsoft Azure.

  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.

  • Willingness to learn enterprise architecture frameworks and emerging technologies.

  • Ability to work effectively under close guidance and daily supervision.

Preferred Certifications

  • AWS Certified Cloud Practitioner

  • Microsoft Azure Fundamentals (AZ-900)

  • Scrum Foundations

  • ITIL Foundation (Preferred)
