Position: Software Asset Management (SAM) Analyst - Junior

Number of hours: 40 hours / week
Schedule: EST

Responsibilities:

  • Assist in maintaining software license inventories and entitlement records.

  • Track software installations, usage, and license compliance.

  • Support software audits and compliance reporting activities.

  • Review software contracts, renewals, and licensing documentation.

  • Help identify opportunities for software license optimization and cost savings.

  • Maintain asset management records and software lifecycle documentation.

  • Collaborate with IT, Procurement, Finance, and vendors to support asset management activities.

  • Assist with software requests, deployments, and license assignments.

  • Prepare reports and dashboards on software asset utilization and compliance.

  • Participate in process improvements and documentation updates.


Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Information Systems, Computer Science, Business Administration, or a related field.

  • 0–2 years of experience in Software Asset Management, IT Asset Management, IT Operations, Procurement, or a related role.

  • Basic understanding of software licensing concepts and IT asset management.

  • Familiarity with Microsoft Office, particularly Excel.

  • Strong analytical, organizational, and communication skills.

  • Ability to work accurately with records and documentation.


Preferred Certifications:

  • AWS Cloud Practitioner

  • Microsoft Azure Fundamentals (AZ-900)

  • Scrum Foundations

  • ITIL Foundation v4 (preferred)

  • Certified Hardware Asset Management Professional (CHAMP) or Certified Software Asset Manager (CSAM) (preferred)
