About the Company
Fabrimetal is a steel brand under the MMD Group, a privately-owned company specializing in the manufacture of TMT rebars and merchant bars. The company operates in several African countries, including Rwanda, Senegal, Burkina Faso, Angola, and DR Congo.

  • Reports To: General Manager
  • Direct Reports: Sales Practitioner, Back Office Sales Practitioner
  • Work Hours: 40 hours/week (with occasional additional hours)
  • Travel: None (except commuting)

Key Responsibilities
Planning and Strategy

  • Analyze markets to identify opportunities and close gaps in service or geography

  • Develop and execute strategic sales and marketing plans aligned with company goals

  • Manage department budgets and monitor expenditures

Sales Operations

  • Forecast demand and collaborate with internal departments (manufacturing, supply chain, finance, HR, legal)

  • Set and track sales targets

  • Cultivate client relationships and support negotiations, deal closure, and collections

  • Analyze performance and ensure alignment with business objectives

Marketing

  • Oversee market research and monitor competition

  • Guide promotional planning and ensure brand consistency

  • Present marketing insights and adjust strategies as needed

Customer Relationship Management

  • Build and maintain relationships with clients, dealers, and strategic partners

  • Represent the company at industry events and monitor customer satisfaction

People & Culture

  • Lead, mentor, and support team members

  • Oversee recruitment, training, and performance management

  • Promote a values-driven, high-performance culture

Requirements
Education

  • Masters in Business Administration, Sales, Marketing, or a related field

Experience

  • Minimum 8 years of sales experience in the steel industry

Skills

  • Deep knowledge of steel sales and marketing

  • Strong people management, negotiation, and presentation skills

  • Fluency or willingness to learn English, French, or Portuguese

  • Strategic mindset, customer orientation, team leadership, and conflict resolution ability
