We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Speech Language Pathologist (SLP) to provide high-quality services to students with communication disorders. This role involves assessing, diagnosing, and treating students with a variety of speech and language challenges in a school-based setting. The ideal candidate will collaborate with school staff, parents, and other professionals to ensure students individualized treatment plans meet their unique needs and promote positive outcomes.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Provide assessment, evaluation, diagnosis, and treatment services to students with communication disorders, including speech, language, voice, fluency, and pragmatic disorders.
  • Develop and implement individualized treatment plans in collaboration with school staff and parents.
  • Provide consultation and training services to teachers and other educational professionals to improve their understanding of communication disorders.
  • Document and maintain accurate records of student progress, assessments, and treatment plans according to school policies and professional standards.
  • Participate in team meetings, IEP meetings, and other school-based meetings to ensure students needs are met.
  • Stay informed on current research, trends, and best practices in communication disorders to continuously improve service delivery.
  • Maintain licensure and certification standards required by state and national organizations.

Qualifications:

  • Masters degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited institution.
  • State licensure or eligibility for licensure in Speech-Language Pathology.
  • Certification of Clinical Competence in Speech-Language Pathology (CCC-SLP) from ASHA (Clinical Fellows are welcome to apply).
  • Experience working with children with communication disorders in a school-based setting is preferred.
  • Strong oral and written communication skills.
  • Knowledge of current research and best practices in communication disorders.
  • Excellent organizational and time-management skills.
