We are seeking an ALM Tools Support Engineer to join the Direct Delivery (DPO COE) team and provide expert support for Application Lifecycle Management (ALM) tools. This role involves tool deployment, configuration, troubleshooting, user support, and automation to enhance project efficiency. The ideal candidate will collaborate with global engineering teams, ensuring seamless tool integration and performance.
Key Responsibilities
- ALM Tool Support: Troubleshoot user-reported issues and provide resolutions.
- User & Project Management: Create new users and projects, configure ALM tools, and monitor usage.
- Customization & Configuration: Tailor tools to project requirements, including workflows, alerts, and dashboards.
- Training & Best Practices: Develop user guides, conduct training, and promote ALM tool best practices.
- Automation & Scripting: Support automation of repetitive tasks and tool-related scripting.
- Data Extraction & Reporting: Generate dashboards, charts, and audit reports for engineering and management teams.
- Integration & Migration: Ensure seamless integration of ALM tools with other systems and oversee project migrations.
- System Administration: Monitor and manage centralized ALM services, including license servers, databases, and application services.
- Upgrades & Testing: Pilot new tools, test upgrades, and collaborate with IT for implementation.
Required Skills & Qualifications
- Strong knowledge of Microfocus QC/ALM/Octane tools.
- Experience in ALM tool administration, troubleshooting, and customization.
- Expertise in SQL queries, scripting, and automation.
- Understanding of software development, configuration management, and change control processes.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities in a global, cross-functional environment.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Experience working with engineering teams, project management tools, and IT infrastructure.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience integrating Microfocus ALM tools with third-party applications.
- Familiarity with macro creation, dashboards, and reporting customization.
- Knowledge of networking, database management, and software development lifecycle.
