About the job Market Director of Physician Services
The Market Director provides operational leadership and strategic direction for assigned physician practices and provider-based clinics. This position works closely with senior leadership to oversee day-to-day operations, financial performance, and long-term growth initiatives across multiple sites. The role includes direct supervision of Clinic Administrators and Managers, ensuring efficient operations, regulatory compliance, and strong provider engagement.
Key Responsibilities:

Oversee all operational aspects of assigned clinics, including performance metrics, patient access, staffing, and financial management.

Collaborate with senior leadership to implement strategies that support market growth, operational efficiency, and quality outcomes.

Lead and develop clinic leadership teams, providing coaching, performance evaluations, and ongoing professional development.

Review and analyze financial reports, budgets, and key performance indicators; ensure fiscal responsibility and identify opportunities for improvement.

Conduct regular meetings with providers and clinical leadership to review performance, address challenges, and align on goals.

Manage revenue cycle processes, charge capture, and accounts receivable to support financial sustainability.

Support new practice start-ups, expansions, and market development plans.

Ensure compliance with healthcare regulations, internal policies, and industry best practices.

Prepare and deliver regular reports and presentations on clinic operations and financial performance.

Partner with leadership to set strategic goals, develop budgets, and monitor achievement of financial and operational targets.
Qualifications:

Bachelors degree required; Masters degree preferred (especially for larger markets).

Minimum of 7 years in physician practice management or healthcare operations, including direct leadership experience.

Strong background in financial management, business planning, and operational execution.

Proven ability to lead multi-site teams and manage complex projects.

Demonstrated understanding of healthcare compliance, regulatory standards, and revenue cycle operations.

CMPE or FACMPE certification preferred.
Work Environment:
Primarily office and clinical settings, with occasional travel (less than 10%). May be exposed to typical hospital or clinic environmental elements.
