The Market Director provides operational leadership and strategic direction for assigned physician practices and provider-based clinics. This position works closely with senior leadership to oversee day-to-day operations, financial performance, and long-term growth initiatives across multiple sites. The role includes direct supervision of Clinic Administrators and Managers, ensuring efficient operations, regulatory compliance, and strong provider engagement.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Oversee all operational aspects of assigned clinics, including performance metrics, patient access, staffing, and financial management.

  • Collaborate with senior leadership to implement strategies that support market growth, operational efficiency, and quality outcomes.

  • Lead and develop clinic leadership teams, providing coaching, performance evaluations, and ongoing professional development.

  • Review and analyze financial reports, budgets, and key performance indicators; ensure fiscal responsibility and identify opportunities for improvement.

  • Conduct regular meetings with providers and clinical leadership to review performance, address challenges, and align on goals.

  • Manage revenue cycle processes, charge capture, and accounts receivable to support financial sustainability.

  • Support new practice start-ups, expansions, and market development plans.

  • Ensure compliance with healthcare regulations, internal policies, and industry best practices.

  • Prepare and deliver regular reports and presentations on clinic operations and financial performance.

  • Partner with leadership to set strategic goals, develop budgets, and monitor achievement of financial and operational targets.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelors degree required; Masters degree preferred (especially for larger markets).

  • Minimum of 7 years in physician practice management or healthcare operations, including direct leadership experience.

  • Strong background in financial management, business planning, and operational execution.

  • Proven ability to lead multi-site teams and manage complex projects.

  • Demonstrated understanding of healthcare compliance, regulatory standards, and revenue cycle operations.

  • CMPE or FACMPE certification preferred.

Work Environment:
Primarily office and clinical settings, with occasional travel (less than 10%). May be exposed to typical hospital or clinic environmental elements.
