A prestigious AM Law 200 firm is seeking an experienced IP Transactions Attorney to join its Intellectual Property practice. This is an exciting opportunity for a skilled attorney with deep expertise in patent acquisitions, licensing, litigation funding, and corporate structuring. The ideal candidate is a strategic legal advisor who thrives in high-stakes, complex IP transactions.
Key Responsibilities:

Lead and manage patent-centric transactions, including acquisitions, licensing agreements, and litigation funding deals

Provide strategic counsel on intellectual property matters across a range of industries

Structure, negotiate, and draft sophisticated agreements involving patent rights and technology assets

Advise clients on IP-related regulatory and corporate governance considerations

Collaborate closely with internal teams, clients, and third-party stakeholders on high-impact IP matters
Requirements:

Juris Doctor from a Top 30 law school (minimum GPA 3.0; no bottom 50% of class)

38 years of experience in a Top 200 AM Law firm

Strong background in patent transactions, including deal structuring and negotiation

North Carolina Bar admission preferred

Comfortable working on a hybrid schedule (typically 3 days in-office; may vary by practice group)
