In this role, you will be at the forefront of designing and implementing cutting-edge e-retail strategies that align with the business goals of global FMCG and beauty brands.

Your Role:

As an Associate Director - E-Commerce in Dubai, you will work closely with your account team to optimize customer journeys and provide in-depth assessments of retailer websites and leading e-commerce platforms. Your contributions will drive tangible results, significantly impacting your clients' business growth.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver impactful client presentations and manage substantial project budgets.
  • Serve as a trusted advisor, delivering value to clients' businesses daily.
  • Develop and execute strategies that exceed client business objectives.
  • Acquire comprehensive knowledge of client business challenges, competitive landscapes, and industry trends.
  • Lead multiple fast-paced projects across various business lines.
  • Ensure projects are completed on time and within budget.
  • Oversee and mentor Account Supervisors, Account Executives, and Coordinators.
  • Liaise between junior account staff, senior leaders, and other agency departments such as Production, Strategy, and Creative.
  • Adapt e-commerce strategies to meet local market needs while aligning with commercial direction.
  • Ensure consistency and accuracy of product/service offerings on e-shops and marketplaces.
  • Create and manage impactful digital assets like banners and product images.
  • Implement and manage local promotion tools and systems.
  • Analyze local data reports and monitor key metrics, including traffic and conversion rates.
  • Collaborate with local and international partners on essential integrations such as payment systems, age verification, and delivery.
  • Work with local Web Presence teams to customize sites (including mobile versions) for different customer segments and manage publishing tasks.
  • Recommend and implement improvements to enhance the online customer journey and drive growth.
  • Ensure the e-commerce platform is accessible, operational, and well-adopted.
  • Monitor and report key metrics, ensuring vendor service level agreements are met for optimal customer service quality.
  • Lead the relationship between the client and agency team, spearheading large national initiatives across the EMEA regions.

Qualifications:

  • 8+ years of eCommerce experience in digital commerce retailers & intermediaries or a similar industry role, preferably within an agency setting.
  • Working with leading Ecommerce Marketplaces i-e Amazon (brandstores) will be great advantage.
  • Proven ability to prioritize effectively in a fast-paced environment with competing demands.
  • A strong team player with a commitment to the agency's success.
  • Experience in team management, demonstrating leadership, mentoring, and coaching abilities.
  • Strong business acumen, coupled with excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
  • Exceptional communication and organizational skills.
  • A results-driven mindset with a strong focus on customer satisfaction.
  • Experience in presenting to and influencing at the Executive level.
