About this Opportunity

The Richmond Country Club (RCC) is looking for Entry Level Seasonal and Hourly Full-time Golf Turf Labourers to join our Golf Course and Turf team. The candidate would report to the Assistant and Head Superintendent. The individual will work as a cohesive crew with the Golf Course and Turf team to complete certain time-bound projects. The duration of the projects will be from August to November with a starting date as soon as possible and the potential to come back next season at RCC, which starts March 2025-November 2025. The projects are of landscaping nature and on the RCC golf course.


Who You Are

We need an individual who is at an entry level, with no necessary experience, but is a committed hard worker.

The successful candidate must be able to:

  • Safely use hand and power tools.
  • Perform landscaping tasks that may include mowing, trimming, shoveling, raking.
  • Perform physically demanding tasks including lifting/carrying up to 25kg.
  • Work in varying weather conditions.
  • Work independently and in a team environment.
  • Possess a drivers license with a clean abstract and transportation to our shop.
  • Previous golf course maintenance, landscape or farm experience is an asset but not required.
  • Flexibly meet work shift demands including holidays and weekends.
  • Attend early morning shifts starting as early as 5 am as per our Golf Course and Turf operational timings.

More information on the role:

  • Salary: $20 per hour
  • Seasonal Duration: August to November
  • Hours of Work: 40 hours per week (assured full-time)
  • Start Date: As soon as possible
  • Job Environment: On-site only, outdoors
  • Ability to commute: Richmond, BC - reliably commute to Number 4 road and Steveston Hwy Richmond BC. No public transportation is available to the shop. Personal cars will have parking available.
  • Number of roles available: 1 to 2 Labourers
  • Work permit/visa/ ability to work in Canada is mandatory

The Operations:

Our 6800-yard, par 72 A.V. Macan designed course is one of BCs premiere golf venues. Our championship level golf course is known for its tree lined fairways, well-positioned bunkers, and its signature raised, undulating greens. Our green and serene golf courses require year-round TLC and involve multi-level technicalities to keep the course season ready. Our Golf Course or Greens team weathers all types of conditions to maintain the expectation and satisfaction of our members and their love of golf. Our Golf Course team comprises of irrigation technicians, grounds keepers, gardeners, horticulturist, and assistant and head superintendents.
