About this Opportunity
The Richmond Country Club (RCC) is looking for an Hourly Full-time Maintenance Supervisor (year-round position) to join our Maintenance team. The candidate would report to the Facilities Manager. The successful candidate will maintain the property operations while upholding the clubs appearance and ensuring targets are met. The individual will work as a cohesive crew with the Maintenance team on a day-to-day basis, and will assist the Facilities Manager in all aspects of the Clubs maintenance and housekeeping duties.

The Maintenance Supervisors duties are:
- Inspect sites or facilities to ensure safety and cleanliness standards.
- Recommend or arrange for additional maintenance services.
- Assist maintenance staff in performing duties.
- Establish work schedules.
- Order materials and stock.
- Supervise maintenance staff and contractors.
- Set the shift schedule and assignments.
- Order tools, supplies and equipment, and maintain inventory.
- Responds to maintenance requests.
- Makes sure projects stay on schedule.
- Leads/ assists with safety inspections at worksites.
- Escalates maintenance issues to Facilities Manager and recommends solutions.
- Ensures the team follows all company policies and procedures.
- Makes sure the team adheres to Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA) safety regulations.
- Skilled and knowledgeable in maintenance operations such as carpentry, painting, plumbing, and general repairs.
- Is the main point of contact for Maintenance team when the Manager is not present.
- Always follow safety procedures while performing duties. Including safely operating vehicles, tools, machinery and complying with all WCB and WHMIS standards of compliance.
- Oversee and maintain the cleanliness of the interior and exterior Club areas.
- Working with the Facility Manager and department heads to develop and implement schedules and procedures for safety inspections and preventive maintenance programs.
- Regularly required to reach with hands and arms, stand, walk, climb, stoop, kneel, crouch, crawl, as required for tasks related to the job.
- Regularly required to work outdoors.
What makes you a great fit?
- At least 2 years of property maintenance experience is required and 1 year of supervisory experience is preferred.
- A high-school equivalent or diploma required.
- Technical expertise required and knowing how to safely use hand and power tools.
- Ability to travel to the work location due to on-site nature of job.
- Hospitality facilities maintenance experience is an asset.
- Certification in a maintenance related program an asset.
- Has efficient interpersonal and communication skills.
- Computer skills in Microsoft Office an asset.
- Must be able to lift and/or move up to 25 kgs.
- Must have flexibility with scheduling, including working evenings, weekends, and holidays.
- Knowledge of infrastructure including hydro, water, and sewer an asset.
- Ability to work in a team environment and delegate tasks where necessary.
- Ability to operate all maintenance equipment.
- Strong problem-solving abilities.
- Hard working, reliable, and ability to prioritize daily work tasks and adapt to changing priorities.
- Knows maintenance best practices.
- Problem solving.
- Working independently and in a team.
- Leadership skills to manage a team.

- Salary: $26.00 per hour (based on experience)
- Hours of Work: 40 hours per week
- Flexibility: Flexible to work weekends and holidays is required
- Start Date: As soon as possible
- Job Environment: On-site only, outdoors and in-doors (based on job tasks)
- Ability to commute: Richmond, BC - reliably commute to Number 4 road and Steveston Hwy Richmond BC. Personal cars will have parking available.
