Job Summary:

The Data Scientist will be responsible for analyzing large datasets to extract actionable insights, developing predictive models, and driving data-driven decision-making across the organization. The ideal candidate has strong analytical skills, proficiency in statistical methods, and experience in machine learning. This role requires close collaboration with cross-functional teams, including product development, marketing, and engineering, to implement data-driven strategies and solutions.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Data Analysis & Exploration: Analyze large and complex datasets to identify patterns, trends, and insights that can inform business decisions.Analyzes and interprets complex data to provide actionable insights using AI techniques.

  • Model Development: Develop, implement, and refine predictive models using machine learning algorithms to solve business challenges.

  • Data Visualization: Create clear and compelling data visualizations to communicate findings to stakeholders.

  • Business Intelligence: Work with business leaders to understand their objectives and provide data-driven insights and recommendations.

  • Experimentation: Design and execute A/B tests or other experiments to evaluate the impact of different strategies and interventions.

  • Feature Engineering: Identify, create, and optimize features for machine learning models to improve performance.

  • Collaboration: Work closely with data engineers to ensure data availability, quality, and integrity, as well as with software engineers to deploy models into production.

  • Statistical Analysis: Apply statistical techniques to validate model assumptions, assess model performance, and ensure robustness.

  • Reporting: Generate regular reports and dashboards to monitor key metrics and business performance.

  • Innovation: Stay current with the latest developments in data science, machine learning, and artificial intelligence, and apply them to enhance the organizations capabilities.

Qualifications:

  • Education: Bachelors or Masters degree in Data Science, Statistics, Mathematics, Computer Science, or a related field. A Ph.D. is a plus.

  • Experience:
    • 2+ years of experience in data science, analytics, or a related role.

    • Proficiency in programming languages such as Python or R.

    • Experience with machine learning libraries and frameworks like Scikit-learn, TensorFlow, or PyTorch.

    • Hands-on experience with data querying tools such as SQL, and familiarity with big data tools like Hadoop or Spark.

  • Skills:
    • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

    • Proficient in statistical analysis, data mining, and machine learning.

    • Deep understanding of statistical methods and their applications.

    • Experience with data visualization tools such as Tableau, Power BI, Matplotlib, or Seaborn.

    • Familiarity with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP) and MLOps practices.

    • Ability to communicate complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.

    • Excellent teamwork and collaboration skills.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience with natural language processing (NLP) or computer vision.

  • Familiarity with deep learning frameworks such as Keras, Caffe, or MXNet.

  • Knowledge of data governance and privacy regulations.

  • Experience in deploying machine learning models into production environments.

  • Strong project management skills with experience in leading cross-functional projects.
