Job Summary:
The Data Scientist will be responsible for analyzing large datasets to extract actionable insights, developing predictive models, and driving data-driven decision-making across the organization. The ideal candidate has strong analytical skills, proficiency in statistical methods, and experience in machine learning. This role requires close collaboration with cross-functional teams, including product development, marketing, and engineering, to implement data-driven strategies and solutions.
Key Responsibilities:
Data Analysis & Exploration: Analyze large and complex datasets to identify patterns, trends, and insights that can inform business decisions.Analyzes and interprets complex data to provide actionable insights using AI techniques.
Model Development: Develop, implement, and refine predictive models using machine learning algorithms to solve business challenges.
Data Visualization: Create clear and compelling data visualizations to communicate findings to stakeholders.
Business Intelligence: Work with business leaders to understand their objectives and provide data-driven insights and recommendations.
Experimentation: Design and execute A/B tests or other experiments to evaluate the impact of different strategies and interventions.
Feature Engineering: Identify, create, and optimize features for machine learning models to improve performance.
Collaboration: Work closely with data engineers to ensure data availability, quality, and integrity, as well as with software engineers to deploy models into production.
Statistical Analysis: Apply statistical techniques to validate model assumptions, assess model performance, and ensure robustness.
Reporting: Generate regular reports and dashboards to monitor key metrics and business performance.
Innovation: Stay current with the latest developments in data science, machine learning, and artificial intelligence, and apply them to enhance the organizations capabilities.
Qualifications:
Education: Bachelors or Masters degree in Data Science, Statistics, Mathematics, Computer Science, or a related field. A Ph.D. is a plus.
- Experience:
2+ years of experience in data science, analytics, or a related role.
Proficiency in programming languages such as Python or R.
Experience with machine learning libraries and frameworks like Scikit-learn, TensorFlow, or PyTorch.
Hands-on experience with data querying tools such as SQL, and familiarity with big data tools like Hadoop or Spark.
- Skills:
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
Proficient in statistical analysis, data mining, and machine learning.
Deep understanding of statistical methods and their applications.
Experience with data visualization tools such as Tableau, Power BI, Matplotlib, or Seaborn.
Familiarity with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP) and MLOps practices.
Ability to communicate complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
Excellent teamwork and collaboration skills.
Preferred Qualifications:
Experience with natural language processing (NLP) or computer vision.
Familiarity with deep learning frameworks such as Keras, Caffe, or MXNet.
Knowledge of data governance and privacy regulations.
Experience in deploying machine learning models into production environments.
Strong project management skills with experience in leading cross-functional projects.
