Position: Volunteer Learning & Development (PD) Executive
Location: Remote
Time Commitment: 3 hours per week
Role Overview:
As the Volunteer Learning & Development Executive for BRIA, you will be responsible for designing and implementing programs and initiatives that promote the career advancement and professional growth of Brazilian professionals in Ireland. You will work closely with Bria’s leadership team to ensure that our community has access to workshops, mentorship, and training opportunities that equip them with the skills and knowledge necessary to thrive in the Irish job market.
Key Responsibilities:
Program Development: Design and deliver professional development programs (workshops, seminars, webinars) focusing on skill-building career progression, and job market integration for Brazilian professionals in Ireland.
Mentorship Initiatives: Lead efforts to develop and manage a mentorship program that connects experienced professionals with those seeking guidance in their career journeys.
Skills Assessment & Training: Identify key skill gaps within the Brazilian community and organise training sessions to address these needs, such as CV writing, interview preparation, LinkedIn optimisation, and networking strategies.
Resource Development: Create and curate resources (guides, toolkits, and e-learning materials) that provide valuable insights into the Irish job market, career progression, and professional skills.
Partnership Building: Collaborate with external organisations, businesses, and industry experts to offer specialised training and development opportunities for Brazilian professionals.
Event Coordination: Plan and execute career fairs, networking events, and other initiatives that connect Brazilian professionals with potential employers and industry leaders in Ireland.
Career Counseling: Provide one-on-one or group career counselling sessions to help individuals clarify their career goals, overcome job search challenges, and make informed decisions about their professional path.
Tracking & Evaluation: Monitor the progress of participants in the professional development programs, gather feedback, and adjust strategies to improve the impact of Bria’s initiatives.
Skills & Qualifications:
Experience in human resources, career coaching, professional development, or a related field (volunteer experience is welcome).
Strong understanding of professional development best practices, especially in the areas of career coaching, training, and mentorship.
Excellent organisational and project management skills, with the ability to coordinate multiple programs and events.
Strong communication and presentation skills, both in Portuguese and English.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team to achieve organisational goals.
Passion for supporting the Brazilian community in Ireland and understanding the unique challenges they face in the Irish job market.
Familiarity with the Irish employment landscape and professional development opportunities is a plus.
