Senior Residential Support Worker | Children's Services

Are you an experienced support worker ready to step into a leadership role? RGH Global is recruiting on behalf of a dedicated children's residential home provider looking for a Senior Residential Support Worker to help lead their team and provide nurturing care to young people.

The Role

In this pivotal role, you will support the Registered and Deputy Managers in the day-to-day operations of the home. You will be responsible for:

  • Leadership: Leading shifts, allocating tasks, and ensuring safe staffing levels.
  • Safeguarding: Promoting best practices and ensuring children are protected from harm in line with statutory guidance.
  • Care & Support: Providing nurturing care that promotes emotional well-being, independence, and social development.
  • Key Working: Developing positive relationships with allocated children and contributing to placement planning.
  • Collaboration: Working with social workers, health professionals, and education providers to ensure positive outcomes.

What You'll Need

  • Qualification: Level 3 Diploma in Residential Childcare (Essential).
  • Experience: Proven experience working with children and young people.
  • Skills: Strong leadership and communication skills with a solid knowledge of safeguarding.
  • License: A full UK Driving License.
  • Knowledge: An understanding of trauma-informed care and Ofsted regulatory frameworks is highly desirable.

Package & Shift Pattern

  • Salary: Competitive and Negotiable (Base starting at £14.50 PH + £60 per sleep-in).
  • Hours: Shift work including evenings, weekends, and sleep-ins as required.
