Data Center Architect

 Job Description:

About 3cRGH (3C Regional Growth Hub)
At 3CRGH, we provide executive search services across the Asia-Pacific region, specialising in the Built Environment, Modern IT Infrastructure, Hyperscale Data Centers, and Energy Storage Systems (BESS/ESS). Our focus is on connecting accomplished engineering leaders and digital delivery experts with the forward-thinking technology platforms shaping the future of regional compute power.

The Opportunity & Client Profile.
We are representing a well-capitalised, high-growth global data center technology platform currently establishing its APAC regional hub. The organisation engineers intelligent, high-density, prefabricated modular data centers designed specifically to deploy complex AI compute workloads with exceptional agility. They are seeking a founding-track Regional IT Infrastructure & Integration Engineer (Spatial/Systems Solutions Architect) to be based out of Hong Kong, or strategically within North or Southeast Asia.

We are looking for an intellectually curious technical expert who possesses a deep affinity for hardware configuration, networking layers, DCIM software integration, and data flow orchestration. This is a dynamic, high-impact role tailored for an adaptable professional who thrives on solving complex infrastructure challenges and guiding clients through sophisticated technical deployments.

Performance & Time Allocation

  • 30% – Pre-Sales Solution Architecture & Master Planning: Translate rapid client RFP compute requirements into technical IT infrastructure layouts. Map out server rack deployments, network topologies, and power/cooling thresholds. Partner with Sales to technically demonstrate the value of modular IT architecture to enterprise clients.
  • 25% – Infrastructure Optimization & Space Planning: Own the macro-level floor planning of the modular data center interior white space. Strategize the spatial arrangement of high-density AI server clusters, network switches, and patch panels. Calculate structural weight loads on raised floors, power distribution per rack (kW), and airflow efficiencies.
  • 15% – Cross-Functional Systems Integration: Act as the technical bridge between physical MEP engineering and digital systems. Seamlessly integrate hardware solutions with designs developed by the Lead Mechanical (cooling) and Lead Electrical (power) teams. Ensure physical environmental controls sync perfectly with IT monitoring layers.
  • 15% – Business Planning & Phasing Strategy: Architect step-by-step IT capacity scaling and deployment plans for enterprise clients. Formulate highly accurate early-stage budgetary and hardware estimates for all networking, compute racks, and structural IT fit-outs.
  • 10% – DCIM, Compliance & Telematics Governance: Implement and maintain the platform's proprietary DCIM (Data Center Infrastructure Management), IoT telemetry, and asset-tracking software layers. Enforce a meticulous, logic-driven approach to infrastructure management and asset data flow.
  • 5% – Technical Support & Factory Integration: Provide tier-3 technical support to the global delivery team to resolve network or hardware integration anomalies. Audit incoming OEM vendor hardware samples and review cross-border factory configurations to ensure perfect compatibility with international IT standards.

Qualifications & Technical Requirements

  • Education: Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Electronic/Electrical Engineering, Information Technology, or a related technical discipline.
  • Experience: 8+ years of professional experience in IT infrastructure architecture, with a heavy emphasis on data centers, cloud infrastructure, or enterprise network design.
  • Certifications: Advanced industry-recognized credentials are highly desirable (e.g., Cisco CCNP/CCIE, Schneider/Vertiv certified professional, CDCP/CDCS, or Uptime Institute certifications).
  • Technical Mastery: Deep, hands-on understanding of networking protocols, edge computing architectures, infrastructure virtualization, and advanced asset-tracking software. Familiarity with reviewing BIM/CAD software layouts to actively participate in multi-disciplinary spacing reviews is a massive plus.
  • Interdisciplinary Knowledge: A strong, logical understanding of adjacent physical engineering trades (e.g., how server heat outputs impact mechanical cooling loops, and how high-density AI clusters pull power from electrical distributions).
  • Linguistic Capability: Complete written and spoken fluency in English and Mandarin is mandatory. You must be entirely comfortable presenting complex IT topologies to global enterprise hyperscalers, while seamlessly handling granular technical reviews and debating hardware configurations with production engineers and factory teams in Mainland China.
  • The Blueprint Fit: An absolute obsession with granular technical details. A self-directed, high-agency professional who favors proactive problem-solving and thrives on navigating execution complexities.

Next Steps for Candidates

If you match this profile and are ready to step away from traditional, slow-moving IT consultancies to build next-generation AI infrastructure, please apply through 3CRGH.To help us progress your application, please share brief insights on the following:
