Overview
A respected and long-established law firm is seeking an experienced Residential Conveyancer to join its Grantham team. This is an excellent opportunity to manage a varied caseload, work within a collaborative environment, and build strong relationships with clients and local property professionals.
The Role
You will be responsible for managing a full caseload of residential conveyancing matters from start to finish, ensuring exceptional client service throughout. The position will cover a range of transactions including standard residential sales and purchases, new build matters, and plot purchases.
Key Responsibilities
- 
Handle a full caseload of residential conveyancing transactions
 - 
Generate new business and convert enquiries into instructions
 - 
Conduct and review necessary property searches
 - 
Deal with plot purchases and new build conveyancing matters
 - 
Liaise effectively with clients, estate agents, developers, and other parties
 - 
Produce standard contract documentation
 - 
Identify cross-selling opportunities for other legal services
 - 
Manage enquiries, exchanges, completions, and all post-completion tasks including SDLT submissions and Companies House filings
 - 
Maintain accurate and up-to-date records in line with procedures
 - 
Achieve agreed fee income and performance targets
 - 
Stay informed of legal developments in conveyancing and maintain skills through ongoing training
 
Person Specification
Essential
- 
Experienced Conveyancer with a strong track record in residential property transactions
 - 
Sound knowledge of the conveyancing process, Money Laundering Regulations, and Solicitors Accounts Rules
 - 
Confident in managing matters from instruction to completion
 - 
Excellent organisational, communication, and client care skills
 - 
IT literate with experience using case management systems
 - 
Able to work effectively under pressure and meet deadlines
 - 
Team-oriented with a proactive approach
 
Desirable
- 
Legal Executive or Solicitor qualification
 - 
Experience with plot purchases and new build transactions
 - 
Previous use of SOS Connect case management software
