Overview:
This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced HR professional to join a forward-thinking public sector organisation as a Senior Employee Relations Advisor. In this dynamic and flexible role, youll play a key part in supporting fair and consistent people management by advising on complex employee relations issues, from disciplinary and grievance cases to investigations and policy development. Key Responsibilities:
- Provide expert advice and support to managers on a wide range of complex employee relations matters, including disciplinary, grievance, bullying and harassment, and capability cases.
- Apply up-to-date employment law, HR policies, and best practice guidance to support fair and timely resolution of cases.
- Promote a culture of fairness and transparency through the use of restorative and Just Culture principles.
- Support investigations and ensure robust and consistent documentation.
- Build strong working relationships across the organisation, offering clear, practical and solutions-focused advice.
- Assist in reviewing and updating HR policies and procedures in line with current legislation and organisational priorities.
Essential:
- CIPD Level 5 qualification.
- Degree or equivalent relevant experience.
- Demonstrated experience in a HR advisory role, managing complex ER cases with minimal supervision.
- Strong understanding of employment law and HR best practices.
- Experience supporting formal investigations and advising managers with confidence.
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to influence and advise persuasively.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail.
- Confident using electronic HR systems and generating reports.
- NHS Experience.
