Position: Clinical or Counselling Psychologist
Location: Rathfarnham, Dublin 16
Contract: Permanent, Full-Time (37 hours/week)
Reporting to: Clinical Director
Were recruiting on behalf of a respected mental health service provider in South Dublin. This organisation offers specialised inpatient care for adults with complex neuropsychiatric conditions, including Alzheimers, Parkinsons, Huntingtons Disease, early-onset dementia, schizophrenia, and mood disorders. It is the only facility in Ireland offering advanced care for Huntingtons Disease.
The service is delivered through a multidisciplinary team using evidence-based, recovery-oriented approaches. The workplace culture is inclusive, supportive, and focused on staff wellbeing and professional growth.
Key Requirements:
Essential:
- QQI Level 8 degree in Psychology (PSI-accredited)
- Postgraduate qualification in Clinical or Counselling Psychology (Dept. of Health validated)
- Minimum 5 years post-qualification experience
- At least 60 days supervised clinical experience in adult mental health
Desirable:
- Experience in adult mental health or psychiatry of later life
- Familiarity with mental health rehabilitation
- Training in CBT (including for psychosis) and other modalities (e.g., DBT, family therapy)
- Clinical supervision experience
- Hospital-based experience and people management skills
