Financial Crime Manager

Salary: £72,500 + Discretionary Bonus

Overview:

A regulated financial services outsourcing provider is seeking an experienced Financial Crime Manager to support the MLRO in managing financial crime operations for a key client account. The role involves oversight of second-line financial crime compliance processes, as well as coordination of both onshore and offshore teams.

This is a hybrid role based primarily in London, requiring in-office attendance twice a week, with occasional travel to other UK client sites.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead and conduct assurance testing on financial crime controls.

  • Compile and present management information reports for internal and client-facing committees.

  • Assess financial crime risk across business functions.

  • Support the completion of the annual Financial Crime Risk Assessment (FCRA) and contribute to the MLRO report.

  • Maintain and update second-line financial crime policies and training materials.

  • Manage day-to-day activities of second-line compliance staff, including offshore teams.

Essential Skills & Experience:

  • Strong background in financial crime compliance within a second-line function.

  • Proven experience in managing teams or individuals.

  • In-depth knowledge of money laundering regulations.

  • Familiarity with broader financial crime risks including bribery, corruption, tax evasion, and fraud.

Desirable Skills:

  • Degree-level education or equivalent professional qualification.

  • Experience in asset or wealth management, or retail financial advice firms.

  • Demonstrated experience in leading and developing teams.
