Our client is looking for a Private Tax Assistant Manager to join its tax team. The successful candidate will support managers and directors in delivering high-quality tax advisory services, manage their own portfolio of private clients, and help develop team members in a collaborative, client-focused environment.
Key Responsibilities

Assist managers and directors in providing specialist tax advice to a range of private clients.

Manage a client portfolio, ensuring delivery of high-quality work on time and within budget.

Develop and maintain strong client relationships, identifying opportunities for further tax planning and advisory work.

Support and develop junior team members, including performance management and regular check-ins.

Collaborate effectively with team members to scope assignments and ensure operational goals are met.

Contribute to business development through networking, tender writing, and participation in marketing activities.
Candidate Requirements

ACA, ACCA, CTA qualified, or ATT qualified with a minimum of two years post-qualification experience in private client tax.

Strong interpersonal and communication skills.

Experience managing client relationships and delivering tax assignments to a high standard.

People management and coaching experience.

Ability to prioritise and manage multiple workloads efficiently.

Self-motivated and committed to continuous technical development.

Familiarity with Microsoft Office 365.
