++Relocation support: Intrastate (over 100kms) - up to $2,500, Interstate - up to $5,000, Overseas - up to $8,000

About the Role

An exciting opportunity exists for an enthusiastic and team-oriented Senior Grade 3 Hand Therapist to join our partner in a full-time, fixed-term role until December 2026 (parental leave cover). This position is open to suitably qualified Physiotherapists and Occupational Therapists and focuses on the ongoing development and delivery of hand therapy services with a strong emphasis on patient-centred care.

Mandatory requirements

  • Current registration with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency as a Physiotherapist or Occupational Therapist
  • Relevant tertiary qualification in Physiotherapy or Occupational Therapy

Desirable Experience

  • Minimum 7 years clinical experience as a Physiotherapist or Occupational Therapist in relevant settings
  • Relevant postgraduate study in Hand Therapy Practice (or working towards)
  • Membership of relevant associations such as Australian Hand Therapy Association, Occupational Therapy Australia (OTA) or Australian Physiotherapy Association (APA)
  • Previous participation in clinical research activities
  • Proficiency in a language other than English

  • Extensive clinical experience and expert knowledge in evidence-based hand therapy service provision
  • Sound understanding of contemporary hand therapy practice, including person-centred care, outcome optimisation and safe clinical practice
  • Robust experience in clinical supervision, mentoring, coaching and supporting junior staff and students
  • Demonstrated skills in implementing and evaluating evidence-based practice
  • Experience developing competencies, procedures and guidelines for hand therapy clinic growth
  • Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to negotiate innovative solutions to complex issues
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to liaise effectively across internal and external stakeholders at all levels
