Job: Specialist Occupational Therapist (Phase 2) Further Education Setting

Location: Newcastle upon Tyne

Contract: Term-Time Only & Permanent

Salary: £34,656 £42,355 per annum (TTO)

We are working with a respected specialist education provider in the Northeast to recruit a dedicated and experienced Occupational Therapist to join their multidisciplinary team. This is a fantastic opportunity to support young adults aged 1625 with a range of physical, sensory, and learning needs in a dynamic and person-centred college environment.

The college offers tailored education and training programmes that promote communication, independence, and employability, helping learners transition successfully into adulthood.

The Role

As a Phase 2 Occupational Therapist, you will play a key role in delivering high-quality, student-focused therapy. You'll work collaboratively with education staff, families, and external professionals to embed therapeutic strategies into everyday routines and ensure holistic support for learners.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver assessments and interventions tailored to individual student needs.
  • Support learners with physical, sensory, and learning disabilities to engage in education and daily living.
  • Develop and review individualised therapy programmes and contribute to EHCPs.
  • Collaborate with teaching and support staff to integrate therapy into the curriculum.
  • Supervise and mentor junior team members and contribute to service development.

About You

  • HCPC-registered with a recognised Occupational Therapy qualification.
