Job Summary

This is an outstanding opportunity for an experienced senior clinician to step into a Team Leader role at the neurodevelopmental assessment clinic in Norwich. Main Duties of the Job

In this Team Leader role, you will oversee the daily operations of the Norwich clinic, managing a diverse team of professionals conducting specialist assessments for autism and ADHD. Key responsibilities include:

Serving as the primary contact for day-to-day clinic operations

Conducting and supervising diagnostic assessments for individuals with suspected autism and/or ADHD using tools such as ADOS-2 and ADI-R

Producing timely, professional assessment reports with clear recommendations and interventions

Maintaining clinical oversight of all active cases, ensuring structured case management and clear plans to prevent delays

Working with administrative staff to manage logistics, such as case bookings, to ensure fair workload distribution and avoid overbooking

Resolving operational challenges, such as staff absences or case reallocations

Supporting new team members with onboarding, skill development, and integration

Identifying inefficiencies in clinic processes, creating new resources, and collaborating with senior leadership to drive improvements

Leading multidisciplinary team (MDT) discussions to support effective case management and decision-making

Identifying training needs for the team and individuals, escalating these to senior leadership

Supervising a team of psychologists, speech and language therapists, occupational therapists, and neurodevelopmental practitioners

Ensuring robust clinical governance, with oversight of all active cases to maintain clear direction and efficient case management

Monitoring service delivery and performance metrics

Escalating and resolving operational or clinical issues with senior management

Participating in leadership meetings and organizational events to contribute to strategic objectives

Essential Requirements

HCPC-registered Practitioner Psychologist, Speech and Language Therapist, Occupational Therapist, NMC-registered Nurse, or Neurodevelopmental Practitioner with specialist training

Must be eligible to work in the UK

Several years of experience conducting diagnostic neurodevelopmental/specialist developmental assessments for children and young people

ADOS-2/ADI-R trained (essential)

Experience working with individuals with neurodevelopmental disorders or mental health difficulties in a clinical setting

In-depth knowledge of DSM-5 diagnostic criteria and appropriate assessment tools for autism and ADHD

Strong understanding of differential diagnosis

Excellent written and verbal communication skills

Ability to work effectively within and lead a multidisciplinary team

Experience in team and service management

Clinical supervision experience (highly desirable)

Strong report-writing and record-keeping skills

Desirable Experience

QB-trained

Additional qualifications in relevant areas of autism and/or ADHD
