Network Engineer Global Infrastructure & Platforms

Role purpose, accountabilities, experience, knowledge, and skills

The Network Engineer Tier 3 plays a critical role in the design, implementation, and management of Forvis Mazars global network and cloud connectivity.

This position focuses on maintaining the operational excellence, performance, and security of the global Cisco Meraki network and Azure Virtual WAN across the Azure cloud environment.

The role will actively contribute to the modernization and industrialization of network services, supporting the evolution from local infrastructures to a unified global model.

  • Operate, monitor, and maintain the global network infrastructure (LAN, WAN, SD-WAN, VPN, Internet connectivity) across all Forvis Mazars locations.
  • Manage and optimize the Cisco Meraki global deployment, including configuration templates, policies, and performance monitoring.
  • Design and manage Azure networking components (VNets, VNet peering, private endpoints, firewalls, load balancers, routing tables, DNS, etc.).
  • Manage and optimize the Azure Virtual WAN global deployment, including configuration templates, policies, and performance monitoring.
  • Implement and support secure cloud-to-site and site-to-site connectivity, ensuring compliance with security and performance standards.
  • Support the MNet upgrade and transformation program, improving network reliability and standardization across all countries.
  • Contribute to network security, including firewall policies, segmentation, VPN, and secure access (Zero Trust principles).
  • Develop and maintain network documentation, topology maps, and configuration baselines.
  • Support the IaP monitoring and automation initiatives (ServiceNow integration, APIs, or PowerShell scripting).
  • Collaborate closely with cloud, security, and platform engineers to ensure consistent and secure end-to-end connectivity.
  • Participate in incident and problem management processes, performing root-cause analysis and implementing permanent corrective actions.
  • Contribute to the definition of global network standards, guidelines, and operational procedures.
  • Participate in global projects (e.g., SOC2 readiness, FinOps network cost optimization, cloud interconnectivity).
  • At least 5 years experience in enterprise network engineering and operations (preferably across multi-site or global environments).
  • Proven hands-on experience with Cisco Meraki solutions (MX, MS, MR, Systems Manager).
  • Strong expertise in Azure networking (Virtual WAN, design, routing, VPN Gateway, Private Link, Network Watcher).
  • Familiarity with SD-WAN concepts, firewalls, and hybrid connectivity (ExpressRoute, IPSec VPN, etc.).
  • Understanding of DNS, DHCP, IPAM, and network security principles.
  • Experience with network monitoring tools, logging systems, and performance analytics.
  • Ability to collaborate effectively with diverse teams across geographies and technical disciplines.
  • Strong communication and documentation skills in English (additional language is a plus).
  • Experience in automating network configuration or infrastructure as code is an asset (e.g., Bicep, PowerShell, Meraki APIs).
  • Experience with SOC2 or NIST compliance frameworks (desirable).
  • Experience working in a global or multi-cultural environment (desirable).
  • Cisco Certified Network Associate (CCNA) or Professional (CCNP)
  • Meraki CMNA or CMNP
  • Microsoft Certified: Azure Network Engineer Associate
