Job Title: Auto and General Liability Adjuster
Location: Remote
Position Overview: As an Auto and General Liability Adjuster, you will play a crucial role in managing and resolving auto and general liability claims effectively and efficiently. You will be responsible for investigating claims, assessing liability, evaluating damages, and negotiating settlements in accordance with relevant laws and company policies. Additionally, you will collaborate with various stakeholders, including claimants, policyholders, witnesses, attorneys, and vendors, to ensure timely and fair resolution of claims.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct thorough investigations of auto and general liability claims to determine coverage, liability, and compensability.
- Gather and analyze evidence, including accident reports, witness statements, photographs, and medical records, to assess the extent of damages and injuries.
- Communicate with claimants, policyholders, attorneys, and other relevant parties to obtain information, provide updates, and negotiate settlements.
- Evaluate claim damages, including property damage, bodily injury, and other compensatory benefits, to determine appropriate settlement amounts.
- Review and interpret insurance policies, contracts, and legal documents to determine coverage and liability issues.
- Collaborate with internal teams, including claims management, legal, and risk management, to address complex claims and mitigate potential risks.
- Maintain accurate and detailed claim records, documentation, and correspondence in compliance with regulatory requirements and company standards.
- Stay informed about changes in auto and general liability laws, regulations, and industry trends to ensure compliance and optimize claims management practices.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in business, insurance, finance, or related field preferred.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in auto and general liability claims management or related field.
- Strong understanding of auto and general liability insurance principles, including coverage, liability, and damages assessment.
- Excellent analytical, negotiation, and problem-solving skills.
- Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to interact effectively with diverse stakeholders.
- Proficiency in computer applications, including claims management software and Microsoft Office Suite.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.
- Possess relevant certifications (e.g., Associate in Claims) preferred.
