Summary: We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Nationwide Retail General Liability Adjuster to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for handling a nationwide retail account, managing claims related to product damage, slip and fall incidents, and other types of retail general liability (GL) claims. This role requires effective communication skills, strong analytical abilities, and a commitment to delivering exceptional customer service.

Responsibilities:

  • Investigate and evaluate retail general liability claims promptly and thoroughly
  • Communicate with insured parties, claimants, witnesses, and other relevant stakeholders to gather necessary information
  • Determine coverage and liability for each claim based on policy terms and applicable laws
  • Conduct site inspections and document findings to assess damages and liability
  • Negotiate settlements with claimants and/or their representatives
  • Collaborate with internal teams, including legal counsel and claims management, to resolve complex claims efficiently

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in handling retail general liability claims
  • Strong knowledge of insurance principles, coverage, and regulations
  • Excellent communication and negotiation skills
  • Ability to work independently and prioritize tasks effectively
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and claims management software
  • Willingness to travel for site inspections and meetings as needed

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Professional certification (e.g., CPCU, AIC) is a plus
  • Experience working with nationwide retail accounts or similar large-scale clients
