JOB DESCRIPTION | RESTAURANT MANAGER
Seeing restaurant Manager who is a hands-on leader with exceptional interpersonal skills. The Restaurant Manager will create a culture of collaboration and personal development as they oversee daily operations to deliver a high-quality dining experience.
Responsibilities include directing workflow, educating, and assisting staff, and ensuring quality goals to ensure efficient restaurant operation, as well as maintain high production, productivity, quality, and excellent guest-service standards.
Your passion, purpose, and potential:
- The communications trifecta: excellent written and verbal communication skills, highly organized and detail-oriented, and above all, a team player.
- Serve as an educator, as well as an inspirational, committed, and responsible leader to the restaurants front-of-house team.
- Is active on the floor during high traffic times in the restaurant, to ensure a vibrant atmosphere while keeping an eye on the level and consistency of service and aiding the team when in need.
- Works with Executive Chef and Operations Manager to develop menu offerings that are aligned with the brands business strategy and lead execution to maximize revenue for the department.
- Recruitment of team members, interviewing, training and continued coaching to improve colleague performance that fosters an environment of team spirit and can-do attitude amongst the staff.
- Actively promote the restaurant on the North Shore by being an integral part of the local network through the development of marketing and sales strategies.
- Conduct regular staff meetings to communicate updates, provide feedback, and address concerns
- All other duties as assigned.
Credentials:
- Minimum 2 years managerial experience in a similar restaurant or hotel environment.
- Completion of a food service administration, hotel or restaurant management course is an asset.
- Extensive knowledge of wines and spirits. Bartending experience and/or WSET is considered an asset.
- Familiar with Micros POS, Open Table, and Proficient in Microsoft Office.
- Posses a Serving It Right and Food Safe Level 1.
- First Aid Level 1 certified.
