Intermediate - Senior C# / .NET Developer - Travel Tech

About this Position:

We are looking to hire an Intermediate to Senior Software Developer, based in Calgary Canada. This candidate will provide technical leadership and architectural guidance for ReserveX and the global engineering team to deliver a world-class product.

Our ideal candidate has a passion for architecting distributed high-performance solutions that are testable, scalable and maintainable. You should have extensive experience developing RESTFUL endpoints with C# along with the ability to code UI components in Angular. You should be well versed in SQL databases and have a good understanding of the principles of NoSQL. We are also looking for strong experience with AWS tools.

As a senior member of the team, you will be expected to mentor other software engineers and cultivate a culture of attention to quality, maintainability, and professionalism.

Your Skills:

• 5+ years of software development experience

• 3+ years building high performance/data intensive applications running in the Cloud

• Bachelors degree or higher - Computer Science or equivalent field

• Proven development experience in .NET technologies, particularly C#

• Front-end experience in ASP.NET, AngularJS & REACT

• Strong Amazon AWS experience (EC2, S3, RDS, etc.)

• Extensive use of APIs and understanding of HTTP and REST architecture

• Strong experience with SQL and NoSQL databases

• Ability to work closely with business and technology team members, to understand business requirements and translate those into real solutions

• Familiarity and experience using AI and/or ML to supplement development and processes - we are looking for modern thinkers and early adopters! 

• Be self-sufficient with a willingness to learn and expand skill set

• Exceptional written and oral communication skills

• SEO optimization & data analytics & reporting system experience desirable

• Experience developing for the travel industry is a plus
