About the job Media Buyer
Company Overview
It is a performance marketing agency specializing in paid media and lead generation for local service businesses. The team runs a large, diverse portfolio of client accounts, combining Meta and Google paid media execution with GoHighLevel (GHL) automation and conversion-focused landing pages to turn ad spend into booked appointments, not just leads. The agency values operators who can own results independently across many accounts at once.
Mission
We're looking for an experienced, operator-minded Media Buyer to manage a portfolio of 20–40 lead generation accounts. In this role, you will run paid media end-to-end across Meta and Google, troubleshoot tracking and funnel issues, and build or edit the landing pages and GHL workflows that turn clicks into booked appointments. This is a mid-level to senior role, we need someone who already knows what to do when a campaign goes sideways, not someone who needs to be taught the fundamentals or managed daily.
If you treat every account like your own P&L, stay calm when a client is upset or a campaign tanks, and let data overrule your opinions, this role is for you.
Key Responsibilities
- Plan, launch, and optimize Meta Ads campaigns across a portfolio of 20–40 lead-gen accounts: lead forms vs. landing page funnels, Advantage+ and broad targeting, creative-led testing, and learning phase management
- Diagnose and fix rising CPLs and lead quality drops on underperforming Meta accounts
- Manage Google Ads campaigns: Search (including call-focused campaigns), Local Services Ads where relevant, and Performance Max with proper guardrails, negative keyword, and search term discipline
- Maintain tracking fluency across pixel, Conversions API, offline conversion imports, and call tracking; diagnose discrepancies when platform numbers don't match reality
- Run a triage system across the account portfolio; daily checks, weekly deep dives, and exception-based alerts, so nothing slips
- Prioritize time and attention by impact, focusing where budget and risk are highest
- Make fast, confident calls on budgets, pausing or scaling campaigns without waiting for perfect data
- Trace lead quality problems through the full chain: ad, landing page, form, GHL automation, speed to lead, and appointment show rate
- Optimize for cost per booked appointment, not just cost per lead
- Build and troubleshoot GHL pipelines, workflows, calendars, webhooks, and integrations
- Build and edit conversion-focused landing pages quickly in GHL, Webflow, or similar tools
- Produce workable static and short-form video ad creative using Canva, CapCut, or Figma, and write direct-response ad copy; brief and give feedback when someone else produces assets
- Communicate campaign performance clearly to non-technical stakeholders (clients, CSMs), in writing and on calls
- Document tests and learnings so insights scale across the account portfolio rather than staying siloed
Qualifications
- Years of Experience: 3–5 years in paid media, with at least 2 years in an agency or multi-account environment
- CRM Tool: GoHighLevel (GHL): comfortable building or troubleshooting pipelines, workflows, calendars, and webhooks/integrations
- Software: Meta Ads Manager, Google Ads, GoHighLevel, Webflow (or similar landing page builder), Canva, CapCut, Figma
- Industry Knowledge Required: Lead generation agency experience managing a large, multi-account portfolio strongly preferred
- Languages: Not specified
Skills & Competencies
- Deep Meta expertise: lead forms vs. landing page funnels, Advantage+ and broad targeting, creative-led testing, learning phase management
- Solid Google expertise: Search (including call-focused campaigns), Local Services Ads, Performance Max with guardrails, negative keyword discipline
- Fluency in tracking infrastructure: pixel, Conversions API, offline conversion imports, call tracking
- Portfolio management across dozens of accounts simultaneously, with impact-based prioritization
- Funnel and lead-quality thinking: understands that a cheap lead that never converts is a bad lead
- Ownership mentality: treats every account as their own P&L and flags problems proactively
- Clear, jargon-free communication with non-technical stakeholders
- Composure under pressure; stays calm with upset clients or tanking campaigns, comes with a diagnosis and plan
- Strong documentation habits so learnings scale across accounts
- Coachable with a bias to test; forms hypotheses, runs clean tests, lets data overrule opinions
Technical Requirements
- Own PC or laptop
- Reliable internet connection (wired connection recommended)
- Familiarity with Meta Ads Manager, Google Ads, GoHighLevel, landing page builders (Webflow or similar), and creative tools (Canva, CapCut, Figma)
