Position Summary:
The Data Entry Clerk supports multiple departments by creating, processing, reviewing, and maintaining orders and estimates.
Essential Job Responsibilities and Functions:
Enter new and updated customer and project information
Enter quotes and orders into the ERP accounting software
Use resources provided to compile and sort information
Confirm accuracy of information in ERP software by returning documents with incomplete information and entering complete information once received
Identify materials that do not have codes in the system, and request they are added by purchasing or manufacturing
Identify and correct data entry errors using appropriate quality control methods
Maintain files linked to the transaction
Organizational Alignment:
Reports to: Director of Sales and Estimating
Requirements:
- Skills and Qualities:
- Strong computer skills, specifically in Microsoft Office
- Be able to learn additional programs quickly
- Possess the ability to work independently with minimal oversight from management
- Problem solve with an analytical mindset
- Detail-oriented and thorough in all aspects of the job
