Responsibilities -

As technical Superintendent, you will be tasked with several crucial responsibilities. Your primary duty will be overseeing the maintenance and repair of vessels to ensure they meet regulatory standards and operate safely and efficiently. Engaging with shipyard personnel and contractors, monitoring project budgets, and ensuring adherence to timelines are part of the daily workflow. Additionally, you will be responsible for:

Supervising repairs and maintenance operations both at sea and during dry docking. Conducting regular inspections of vessels to assess their condition and ensure compliance with environmental policies and safety standards. Managing and documenting the procurement of spare parts and equipment necessary for maintenance and operations. Collaborating with the management team to report on fleet status and recommend solutions to technical problems. Implementing and overseeing the maintenance and emergency repair schedules for each vessel. Conduct regular safety inspections and audits regularly at offshore monthly and stays onboard the units for evaluations and assessment of operations and crew performances

Qualifications

To qualify for the position of technical Superintendent , candidates must possess a combination of education and specific certifications that align with the demands and regulatory requirements of the maritime industry:

Chief Engineer class -1 unlimited.

Proven experience in a marine engineering role, with a strong emphasis on ship maintenance and operations.

Comprehensive knowledge of marine systems, including propulsion, electrical, and water systems.

Familiarity with maritime regulations, ADNOC Procedures(SIMO,ASMV) and safety standards (e.g., SOLAS, MARPOL, IMO)

Ensure compliance with maritime safety and environmental regulations.

Monitor and evaluate vessels masters and crew performance metrics.

Handle emergency situations and coordinate response efforts.

Conduct regular technical inspections and audits regularly at offshore

Manage crew members and provide training and development opportunities.

Prepare and manage the vessels budget and cost control

Ensure proper maintenance of the vessels Equipment& auxiliaries

Develop and maintain relationships with clients

Implement security measures to protect company assets.

Ensure accurate documentation and record-keeping.

Resolve all technical issues and conflicts.

Promote a culture of safety and continuous improvement.
