Workshop Fitter (HGV Mechanic)

Location: Canvey Island, Essex
Salary: £16 per hour
Contract: Temporary

Refine Recruitment is currently seeking a qualified Workshop Fitter to join a busy local authority workshop in Canvey Island. This role offers competitive pay and the opportunity to work with a diverse fleet of vehicles.

What You'll Do

• Maintain and repair vehicles from grounds maintenance equipment to HGVs
• Conduct vehicle servicing and major overhauls
• Prepare vehicles for LGV and MOT tests
• Perform roadside repairs when required
• Manage parts inventory and documentation

Must Have

• Class 2/HGV Licence
• HGV driving experience
• Proven mechanical and diagnostic skills
• Municipal vehicle experience (preferred)
