Position : Assistant Corporate Safety Manager (Bonus 3 months)
We are looking for assistant safety Manager and responsible for overseeing and implementing safety policies, procedures, and programs within an organization to ensure the well-being and protection of employees, customers, and the general public. Their primary objective is to prevent accidents, injuries, and occupational hazards by promoting a culture of safety throughout the company.
Summary :
As a Corporate Safety , you will be responsible for developing, implementing, and maintaining a comprehensive safety program across the organization. You will work closely with management, employees, and regulatory agencies to ensure compliance with safety regulations and foster a safe working environment. Your role will involve identifying potential hazards, conducting risk assessments, developing safety policies, training employees, and monitoring safety performance.
Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement a corporate safety program, policies, and procedures to ensure compliance with local, state, and federal safety regulations.
- Conduct regular safety inspections, risk assessments, and audits to identify potential hazards, evaluate risks, and recommend corrective actions.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop and deliver safety training programs, ensuring employees are knowledgeable about safety protocols and procedures.
- Investigate accidents, incidents, and near misses to determine root causes and implement preventive measures to avoid recurrence.
- Maintain accurate records and documentation of safety incidents, inspections, training sessions, and corrective actions.
- Stay updated with changes in safety regulations and industry best practices, and communicate relevant information to management and employees.
- Conduct safety meetings, toolbox talks, and presentations to promote awareness and enhance the safety culture within the organization.
- Coordinate with external agencies and inspectors during safety inspections and audits.
- Collaborate with Human Resources to develop and implement return-to-work programs for injured employees.
- Develop and monitor key safety performance indicators (KPIs) to assess the effectiveness of the safety program and identify areas for improvement.
- Provide guidance and support to site-specific safety managers or coordinators within the organization.
- Prepare reports and presentations on safety performance, trends, and recommendations for management review.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Health and Safety, Environmental Science, or a related field. A relevant professional certification (e.g., Certified Safety Professional) is preferred.
- Proven experience as a safety manager or similar role in a corporate setting.
- In-depth knowledge of local, state, and federal safety regulations and compliance requirements.
- Strong understanding of health and safety principles, risk assessment methodologies, and safety management systems.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively collaborate with employees at all levels of the organization.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
- Ability to work independently, prioritize tasks, and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
- Proficiency in using safety management software and other relevant tools.
