Position : Assistant Corporate Safety Manager (Bonus 3 months) 

We are looking for assistant safety Manager and responsible for overseeing and implementing safety policies, procedures, and programs within an organization to ensure the well-being and protection of employees, customers, and the general public. Their primary objective is to prevent accidents, injuries, and occupational hazards by promoting a culture of safety throughout the company.

Summary :

As a Corporate Safety , you will be responsible for developing, implementing, and maintaining a comprehensive safety program across the organization. You will work closely with management, employees, and regulatory agencies to ensure compliance with safety regulations and foster a safe working environment. Your role will involve identifying potential hazards, conducting risk assessments, developing safety policies, training employees, and monitoring safety performance.

Responsibilities:

  1. Develop and implement a corporate safety program, policies, and procedures to ensure compliance with local, state, and federal safety regulations.
  2. Conduct regular safety inspections, risk assessments, and audits to identify potential hazards, evaluate risks, and recommend corrective actions.
  3. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop and deliver safety training programs, ensuring employees are knowledgeable about safety protocols and procedures.
  4. Investigate accidents, incidents, and near misses to determine root causes and implement preventive measures to avoid recurrence.
  5. Maintain accurate records and documentation of safety incidents, inspections, training sessions, and corrective actions.
  6. Stay updated with changes in safety regulations and industry best practices, and communicate relevant information to management and employees.
  7. Conduct safety meetings, toolbox talks, and presentations to promote awareness and enhance the safety culture within the organization.
  8. Coordinate with external agencies and inspectors during safety inspections and audits.
  9. Collaborate with Human Resources to develop and implement return-to-work programs for injured employees.
  10. Develop and monitor key safety performance indicators (KPIs) to assess the effectiveness of the safety program and identify areas for improvement.
  11. Provide guidance and support to site-specific safety managers or coordinators within the organization.
  12. Prepare reports and presentations on safety performance, trends, and recommendations for management review.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Health and Safety, Environmental Science, or a related field. A relevant professional certification (e.g., Certified Safety Professional) is preferred.
  • Proven experience as a safety manager or similar role in a corporate setting.
  • In-depth knowledge of local, state, and federal safety regulations and compliance requirements.
  • Strong understanding of health and safety principles, risk assessment methodologies, and safety management systems.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively collaborate with employees at all levels of the organization.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
  • Ability to work independently, prioritize tasks, and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Proficiency in using safety management software and other relevant tools.
