About the job Project Director
Position : Project Director (Budget 180-250K )
Responsibilities :
- Driving company vision to meet sustainable growth
- Making strategic decisions and providing leadership and direction to project managers to implement those decisions
- Meeting with clients, stakeholders and project managers to report on project progress
- Monitoring build progress, overseeing finance and ensuring project quality
- Liaising with clients and building strong working relationships
- Devising cost-effective plans to enable effective project completion
- Monitors and analyses project metrics to identify weaknesses or problems and to propose operational improvements and cost saving for future projects
- Managing risks to avoid delays or reputational damage
- Ensuring permits and legal papers are secured ahead of the project
- Managing project managers and enabling them to supervise and manage their own teams
- Managing, mentoring, motivating and leading team member. Ensuring team members take action and accountability for their assigned projects and workload
- Aware on HSE policy and project quality as well as system assurance
- Working in an office and on a construction site.
- Project planning and management: Developing a project plan, setting project timelines, and overseeing the project's progress to ensure that it stays on track.
- Budget and cost management: Overseeing the project budget, ensuring that all expenses are within budgetary constraints, and making sure that the project remains financially viable.
- Contract management: Ensuring that all contracts are in place, that they are legally binding, and that all parties are complying with the terms of the contract.
- Risk management: Identifying potential risks and developing strategies to mitigate those risks.
- Communication and collaboration: Building and maintaining relationships with stakeholders, clients, and team members, and ensuring effective communication throughout the project.
- Quality control: Ensuring that all work is performed to the highest standards of quality and that all materials meet specifications.
- Safety management: Ensuring that the project is completed safely and that all workers are trained in and comply with safety regulations.
- Schedule management: Ensuring that the project is completed on time and that all milestones are met.
Qualifications:
- Education: A bachelor's degree in engineering, construction management, or a related field is typically required for this role. A master's degree may be preferred, especially for large-scale and complex project
- Relevant experience: should have extensive experience in the construction industry, ideally in a leadership or management role overseeing large-scale construction projects. Previous experience as a Project Manager or Senior Project Manager is preferred.
- Technical skills: should have a deep understanding of construction management, including project planning, scheduling, budgeting, and risk management. Experience with construction software and project management tools is also highly desirable.
- Communication skills: Strong communication and interpersonal skills are essential for this role, as the Project Director must work closely with stakeholders, clients, and team members at all levels of the organization.
- Leadership skills: The Project Director must be a strong leader who can motivate and inspire a team, set clear goals, and provide guidance and direction throughout the project.
- Problem-solving skills: The ability to identify and address problems quickly and effectively is essential for this role, as the Project Director must ensure that the project stays on track and within budget.
- Regulatory knowledge: Knowledge of local, state, and federal regulations related to construction projects is essential for ensuring compliance with all applicable laws and regulations.
- Project Director role in construction should have a strong combination of technical skills, leadership abilities, and industry experience to effectively manage large-scale construction projects from start to finish.
