Position: Productivity Improvement Specialist (Budget 100K) Chemical Industry (Fix Bonus) 

We are looking for a Productivity Improvement Specialist Engineer in the manufacturing industry plays a crucial role in optimizing processes, enhancing efficiency, and increasing overall productivity within the manufacturing facility. Their primary focus is on identifying opportunities for improvement, implementing innovative solutions, and monitoring the progress of these initiatives to ensure sustainable productivity gains. Here's a breakdown of the job scope and requirements for this role.

Responsibilities:

  • Process Analysis and Optimization: Evaluate existing manufacturing processes, workflows, and systems to identify bottlenecks, inefficiencies, and areas for improvement.
  • Data Analysis: Collect and analyze relevant data such as production output, cycle times, downtime, and quality metrics to identify patterns and trends that can guide improvement efforts.
  • Lean and Six Sigma Methodologies: Apply principles from Lean manufacturing and Six Sigma to streamline processes, reduce waste, and minimize defects, aiming for continuous improvement.
  • Root Cause Analysis: Investigate the root causes of production issues, delays, and quality problems, and develop strategies to address them effectively.
  • Implementation of Best Practices: Develop and implement best practices, standard operating procedures, and guidelines to ensure consistent and efficient operations across the manufacturing facility.
  • Technology Integration: Identify and introduce technological solutions such as automation, robotics, and advanced manufacturing technologies to enhance efficiency and productivity.
  • Collaboration: Work closely with cross-functional teams including production, engineering, quality assurance, and maintenance to implement productivity improvement initiatives.
  • Project Management: Plan, execute, and monitor improvement projects, ensuring they stay on track, meet objectives, and deliver the expected results.
  • Training and Education: Provide training and guidance to employees on new processes, tools, and methodologies, fostering a culture of continuous improvement.

Requirements:

  • Education: A bachelors degree in engineering, preferably in Industrial Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, or a related field.
  • Experience: Several years of experience in manufacturing, process improvement, or related roles. Experience with Lean and Six Sigma methodologies is highly valuable.
  • Analytical Skills: Proficiency in data analysis, statistical analysis, and problem-solving techniques to identify areas for improvement and make informed decisions.
  • Technical Knowledge: Understanding of manufacturing processes, equipment, and technologies relevant to the industry.
  • Communication Skills: Strong verbal and written communication skills to collaborate with various teams, present findings, and explain complex concepts clearly.
  • Project Management: Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously, set priorities, allocate resources, and ensure projects are completed within set timelines.
