What Were Looking For:

  • Education: High school diploma or GED
  • Experience: 1+ years of experience as a Certified Medication Aide (CMA) and familiarity with clinical documentation.
  • Licenses & Certifications: You must have a valid Certified Medication Technician (CMT) and American Heart Association Basic Life Support (AHA BLS) certification.
  • Additional Preferences: Varicella, MMR, T-Dap, TB, HepB vaccinations, a current physical, and flu/COVID immunizations are highly preferred.

Schedule:

  • Evening Shifts: 5:45 PM - 6:15 AM
    Flexibility and dedication are essential as this role requires overnight work and multi-tasking in a fast-paced environment.

Your Day-to-Day:

  • Medication Administration: Dispense oral, inhalation, and topical medications under the direct supervision of a licensed nurse unless otherwise permitted by state law.
  • Patient Observation: Monitor patients for drug reactions and promptly report any issues to the nursing staff.
  • Vital Signs & Documentation: Perform tasks like measuring vital signs, calculating medication dosages, stocking the medication cart, and accurately recording medication administration.
  • Support: Assist nurses in delivering client care, observing patient needs, and protecting client rights and confidentiality.
  • Compliance & Safety: Follow state and federal regulations to ensure your safety and health, as well as that of your patients and your team.
