SUMMARY:

The Development Assistant is responsible for daily donor recording and acknowledgement tasks, organizing a

monthly donor lunch and tour, assisting with development outreach via email, mail and social media, assistance in

grant writing and tracking, and other tasks related to the growth of Skylines development outreach program.

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:

Manage daily donor development data entry and database entries.

Create, prepare and post donor thank you letters.

Develop a monthly donor tour opportunity, manage communication and signups and event follow-up

Assist in regular yearly development activities, including Skylines annual luncheon and annual campaign

Assist in development and maintenance of a grant tracking system for Skyline

Assist in grant writing and data tracking for grants

In addition to essential job functions, all employees may be assigned other duties, including direct interaction with

Skylines patrons, as necessary for operational needs.

QUALIFICATIONS:

Education: High School degree required, some college preferred

Experience: Excellent written and verbal communication skills required

Basic knowledge of computer programs: Word, Excel, Canva, and database management

required

Experience in organization and management skills

Licenses and

Certifications:

Valid drivers license with clean driving record.

WORKING CONDITIONS:

These requirements are representative of those that must be met to successfully perform the essential functions of

this job. While performing the job duties, the employee is frequently required to sit and talk or hear, use hands and

fingers. The employee is required to stand, walk, climb stairs, and be able to move about freely. The employee must

have the ability to lift objects weighing 25 pounds.

The physical environment is typically that of a normal office environment where there are few physical discomforts

associated with changes in the weather or noise, although working in other environments may be required based

on operational needs. The employee may frequently be required to drive while on the job and will use their

personal vehicle.
