MY BROTHERS KEEPER (MBK) TULSA
My Brothers Keeper-Tulsa was founded in 2014 by former President Barack Obama and is
currently administered under the purview of The Obama Foundation. MBK was launched as a
challenge to communities across the country to collectively design solutions to solve problems
impacting boys and young men of color (BYMOC). Thus, MBK leads a cross-sector effort
focused on building safe and supportive communities for BYMOC where they feel valued and
have clear pathways to opportunity. ImpactTulsa serves as a strategic partner to the Obama
Foundation and stewards the implementation of My Brothers Keeper (MBK) in Tulsa. The work
of MBK aligns with ImpactTulsa as the organization seeks to drive systemic impact through 1)
purposefully shaping the collective strategy and activating partners to execute; 2) serving as a
through line for the collective set of efforts; and 3) driving accountability and transparency.
