Job Description

Job Title: ReMerge Mobility Coordinator

Reports to: ReMerge Assistant Program Director

Status: Full Time, Non-Exempt

Salary: Set via AmeriCorps Pay Structure Guidelines

Purpose of This Position:

The ReMerge Mobility Coordinator reports to the Assistant Program Director and will be responsible for

coordinating transportation, through a collaborative partnership with Embark, for participants and their children to

appointments, court hearings, and other required activities. This position works directly with women in early

recovery, providing structure and support to individuals seeking to establish long-term sobriety and recovery. All

employees work to maintain professional integrity and are responsible for creating a safe, inclusive workplace

through a demonstrated commitment to our mission and values.

Position Summary:

This position will work closely and collaboratively with participants and the program team to calendar and

schedule rides as part of coordinating a transportation system to assist in removing transportation barriers for

participants. The position will act as a liaison between ReMerge and community transportation programs and

agencies.

Duties and Responsibilities of this Position:

Schedule transportation for participants, and their children, using web and application based scheduling

software.

Create and maintain effective communication and scheduling of participant transportation needs.

Dispatch information and instructions for transportation requests.

Prepare and reconcile scheduling manifests.

Manage the organizations transportation calendar and appointments.

Report to appropriate program staff and document participant interactions as needed.

Ensure timely and accurate data compliance for all participant needs and organizational compliance

requirements.

Interact with participants in a professional manner, following trauma-informed care best practices, and

engaging with them in a positive and supportive manner.

Respond to crisis situations in a calm, non-defensive manner.

Upon completion of training, weekly consultation with the Assistant Program Director/direct supervisor, and

participation in all required internal and external meetings and trainings.

Work collaboratively with all ReMerge departments, teams, and staff.

Act as a positive role model for participants, staff, and community members.

Education Required:

GED or High School Diploma Required. Some college preferred.

Experience Required:

Experience in recovery programming and non-profit preferred. Experience working with diverse populations in

social service and/or criminal justice agencies preferred. Knowledge of addiction and recovery, social services,

criminal justice system, and/or justice reinvestment initiative preferred.

Knowledge and Skills to perform this position:

Demonstrated ability to set and exercise healthy professional boundaries and discernment in the working

environment with participants, staff members, management, and community partners.

Ability to work in a variety of settings with culturally diverse individuals and exercise culturally humility

when appropriate and necessary.

Knowledge of the Oklahoma City Metro and surrounding areas.

Valid drivers license and ability to legally operate a motor vehicle and provide own transportation.

Ability to maintain a positive attitude toward staff, program recipients, community partners and employers,

and collaborative members of the community.

Proficient in all Microsoft Office programs.

Ability to prioritize tasks to meet deadlines.

Excellent organizational skills.

Excellent verbal, interpersonal, writing, and communication skills.

Ability to establish rapport with participants.

Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.

Ability to work well in team environment.

Electronic Equipment Requirements

Cell phone and data package is required for this position. Employee must have a working cell phone and provide

number to supervisor and relevant staff. Data package must be available as needed for work purposes. Must be

digitally literate and proficient in Microsoft Office; must be able to operate standard office equipment.

Supervisory Responsibilities:

This position does not hold supervisory authority.

Attendance:

Ability to comply with the organizations attendance policy as documented in the employee handbook required.

Physical Requirements and Work Environment

While performing this work the staff will spend time sitting, standing, speaking and listening. Must regularly lift

and or move up to 10 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to 25 pounds. Must have the dexterity of hands

and fingers to operate a computer keyboard, mouse, and other office equipment. The employee must have the

visual acuity to read and draft reports, memos, letters, etc. Specific vision abilities required by this job include

vision adequate for the employee to perform the responsibilities and functions of the job efficiently; must be able

to hear, speak, and communicate clearly. The employee will work in a smoke-free office surrounding; noise level

is quiet to moderate.
