HopeHouse OKC is a non-profit transitional living organization serving the greater Oklahoma City Metro area. The mission of HopeHouse

OKC is to assist individuals and families in need by providing temporary housing and basic support services in a safe and intentional

environment of Christian community. The HopeHouse OKC transitional housing program is designed to assist these individuals and

families in making a holistic transition to healthy living that includes the physical, the emotional, and the spiritual.

General Summary:

The Transportation Advocate will play a crucial role in helping families access vital services, including rides to daycare, court

appointments, and medical appointments. This position involves coordinating and providing transportation solutions, partnering with

Embark for public transit options, scheduling Uber rides when necessary, and managing HopeHouse OKC vehicles. This position works

closely with HopeHouse OKC families and team to provide support in a variety of critical areas.

Duties:

Transportation Coordination:

Assess the transportation needs of families and provide personalized support.

Schedule and provide rides for families to essential services, including daycare, court, and medical appointments.

Partner with Embark to educate families on public transportation options and assist with route planning.

Utilize Uber for families and other ride-sharing services to secure timely rides for families when public transportation is not

feasible.

Maintain a log of rides scheduled and ensure accurate billing.

Vehicle Management:

Ensure vehicles are in safe, working condition and coordinate regular maintenance and repairs for all HHOKC vehicles.

Ensure vehicles are cleaned on a routine schedule.

Prepare reports on transportation utilization and suggest improvements to enhance service delivery.

Other HHOKC duties:

Run HHOKC errands as needed (Ex: checking the mail, picking up print items, etc)

Assist in delivering hopeWORKS meals as needed

Be a team player and jump in to support where needed

Qualifications:

High school diploma or equivalent;

Strong organizational and time-management skills.

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

Ability to work independently and collaboratively as part of a team.

Proficient in using technology for scheduling and record-keeping.

Valid drivers license and clean driving record.

Working Hours and Compensation:

40 hours per week

M-F 6:30am-3:30pm or 7am-4pm (schedule can vary based on needs/season)
