About the job System Analyst / Analyst Programmer (Perm, Govt Project)
We are seeking a skilled and experienced System Analyst / Analyst Programmer to join our team, focusing on government projects. The ideal candidate will possess a strong technical background with a focus on J2EE / Java skill sets and proven experience delivering successful projects throughout their full life cycle. This role requires a candidate who is adept at technical problem-solving and has a track record of collaboration within development teams.
Key Responsibilities:
- Analyze system requirements and design technical solutions for government projects utilizing J2EE / Java technologies.
- Collaborate with project managers, developers, and stakeholders to gather and document project requirements.
- Develop, test, and implement software applications, ensuring adherence to best practices and standard coding guidelines.
- Participate in all stages of the project life cycle, from conception through design, development, testing, and deployment.
- Provide technical support and troubleshooting for existing applications and systems.
- Review and enhance existing systems and processes to improve efficiency and performance.
- Conduct system testing, bug fixes, and performance tuning to ensure optimal functionality.
- Maintain thorough documentation of system designs, changes made, and standard operating procedures.
- Stay up-to-date with industry trends and technologies, particularly related to government projects and J2EE / Java.
Qualifications:
- Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field is preferred.
- Strong expertise in J2EE and Java programming, with hands-on experience in developing applications. With additional programming languages or technologies is a plus.
- Proven experience as a System Analyst or Analyst Programmer, particularly with government projects.
- Knowledge of government regulations and compliance standards related to software development is advantageous.
- Demonstrated experience with the full project life cycle, including delivery of complex technical projects on time and within budget.
- Solid understanding of software development methodologies and best practices.
- Excellent problem-solving abilities and attention to detail.
- Ability to work collaboratively within a team and contribute to a positive working environment.
- Familiarity with Agile methodologies and DevOps practices is desirable.
