Housekeeping Room Attendant

Fox Harbr resort is located in a picturesque rural community on the shores of the Northumberland Strait in Cumberland County of Nova Scotia. The resort offers guest accommodation, on-site golf, a full-service Spa, sport shooting, and dining. The housekeeper room attendant is responsible for cleaning and maintaining guest rooms and common areas to ensure a tidy, welcoming, and comfortable environment for all guests.

Key Duties and Responsibilities:

• Sweep, mop, wash, strip, wax and polish floors

• Dust furniture

• Vacuum carpeting, area rugs, draperies and upholstered furniture

• Make beds and change sheets

• Distribute clean towels and toiletries

• Stock linen closet

• Clean, disinfect and polish kitchen and bathroom fixtures and appliances

• Disinfect operating rooms and other areas

• Clean and disinfect elevators

• Handle and report lost and found items

• Attend to guests; requests for extra supplies or other items

• Provide basic information on facilities

• Pick up debris and empty trash containers

• Wash windows, walls and ceilings

• Clean changing rooms and showers

• May handle customers; complaints or concerns

• Report and store lost and found items

Qualifications:

• Experience is an asset. On-the-job training will be provided.

• No formal education is required

Salary: $16.61 / hour
