Backend Engineer

What does the job involve

• Development, deployment, and maintenance of complex software systems and services.
• Collaborating with cross-functional teams to define, design, and deliver new features and enhancements.
• Ensuring the technical feasibility of UI/UX designs and optimizing applications for maximum speed and scalability.
• Conducting code reviews and ensuring adherence to best practices and coding standards.
• Identifying and addressing performance bottlenecks, security vulnerabilities, and other technical issues.
• Staying up-to-date with emerging technologies and industry trends to drive innovation within the team.
• Participating in the hiring process to attract and retain top engineering talent.

Qualifications

• Bachelors degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field (beneficial but not required).
• Experience in the fintech industry or with payment processing systems.
• Knowledge of cybersecurity best practices and compliance requirements (e.g., PCI DSS).
• Experience with machine learning and data analytics.
• High level of initiative and the ability to work independently.
• Adaptability and willingness to learn new technologies and tools.
